Mike Tyson aka 'Iron Mike' aka "The baddest man on the plant" is a former undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. He made his professional debut at the tender age of 18. By the age of 20, Tyson became the youngest boxer to win the WBC, WBA, and IBF heavyweight titles and the first to hold them simultaneously. The young titan began his career by winning his first 19 bouts by knockout. If you weren't in your seat early, you may have missed the fight due to his 12 first round knockouts. Tyson was known for his strength, speed, accuracy, timing, coordination, and overall power. His boxing prowess has led many to believe that he was the last great heavyweight fighter. His overwhelming success in the ring quickly led to many accolades and national media attention. A popular video gaming company even released a boxing game with his namesake that went on to sell over a million copies. Mike Tyson is one of the greatest boxers of all time and Ring Magazine has Tyson on their list of "The Greatest Heavyweights of All-Time", their "Best Fighters of the Last 80 Years", and their "100 greatest punchers of all time". A 'Tegata' is a traditional form of Japanese memorabilia that is reserved for only the most supreme athletes; Mike Tyson is the third Upper Deck Authenticated signee to have a Tegata piece produced of him. Utilizing handmade Japanese Hamada paper, Mike has inked his right hand in black and included an authentic Inkan stamp which aligns with the traditional craft. The overall keepsake, which measure 36" wide by 36" high, includes a 9.5" by 10.5" inset center upon which Tyson’s hand has inked and is surrounded by a matted mosaic background of action shots of Mike’s storied career. Mike performed the Tegata process with Upper Deck Authenticated officials and helped in the hand-crafting of 20 uniquely authentic stamps for the special release. His hand print and this piece are limited to 20, the age in which he became the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. Tyson's autograph is guaranteed authenticated by virtue of Upper Deck's Five-Step Authentication Process.
