Painted 24 x 36” sheet-metal on wood frame declaring the separation of the original and only “bowler hat” shaped Brown Derby Restaurant from the chain bearing the same name. This first and most legendary to bear the name was located on the Wilshire Miracle Mile (not in Hollywood at all) near the Ambassador Hotel, a vital area for Hollywood and high-society nightlife during the 1930’s, and its unique shape can be spotted occasionally in films of the time. Scattered signs of light wear, though quite well preserved, Very Fine.
