Outstanding 19th century Meiji era Japanese chamleve enamel bronze planter adorned with two large dragons in flight and a pea cock complemented thought with by flower foliate and other engravings. This vessel is of impressive size and has rich coloring throughout. Note the use pigeon blood red, pink, white, cobalt blue, sky blue, magenta, forest green and even cream. You rarely find such large and colorful examples being offered and this would make an impressive addition to any fine household or collection.

CONDITION: Small old damage to the lip of the base rim, otherwise very good condition.
