(TCF, 1947) Pumpkin and ivory striped silk taffeta period dress, ivory linen lapel and chiffon insert with black velvet bows on waist and cuffs. Handwritten label “517-16 MAUREEN O’HARA and MICHAEL” and stamped “1 27 7 6030 and 20th Century Fox”. Sleeves have been altered and black velvet bows added for repurposing. Material has faded overall and shoulders are discolored. Minor stains on lapel. Designed by Rene Hubert, Charles Le Maire and Ed Wynigear. Worn by Maureen O’Hara as “Odalie D’Arceneaux” on board the paddle boat when Rex Harrison is put ashore on a small island in The Foxes of Harrow. Also included is a light grey wool period riding hat with chiffon scarf. Handwritten label “517-54 Maureen O’Hara” and stamped “1 39 2 3781”. Exhibits minor holes. Worn when riding back from the voodoo ceremony.
