For your bidding pleasure is a Marlin Model 31 20 gauge takedown shotgun. This model shot gun was manufactured between 1911 and 1923. This shotgun utilizes a 28" round barrel with beaded front sight. The barrel is marked on the right "Marlin Firearms Co. New Haven Conn. U.S.A. - Pat'd Aug. 7. 1906. Mar. 24. 1908. May 19.1908. Nov. 23. 1909. Dec. 21. 1909. Mar. 3&10. 1914 Pat. Pending" and "20 Ga." The underside of the receiver is marked "Marlin Model 31-20." The fore grip is made of straight grain walnut while the stock has a more figured walnut. The stock does look like it was shortened as their is a clean cut through it. The stock is capped with a hard rubber recoil pad. Overall the gun is in good shape. The pump action does appear to be loose but still operates as intended. Serial Number: 425. This firearm qualifies as a Curio & Relic Firearm, and requires FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
