Limited Edition Smith & Wesson Model 24-4 ''Through the Line'' Double Action Revolver, #BFJ5164, .44 Spec. cal., 6-1/2'' barrel, blue finish, case hardened serrated trigger, checkered case hardened semi-target hammer, factory checkered wood grips with inlaid S&W medallions, with blade front sight and notched adjustable rear sight. Right side of barrel is etched ''Through the Line'', with laser etched facsimile of the 1902 Dan Smith watercolor that was used in poster form to advertise S&Ws. Sideplate is additionally marked ''251 of 500''. In original two-piece metal-cornered S&W box with matching end label, owner's manual, misc. paperwork, speedloader, sight adjustment tool, cleaning accessories and S&W packing paper. Mfg'd in 1990 and offered as a subscription purchase with a gun for each month, this being the July edition firearm. Condition is near excellent retaining approx. 98% blue, with a few light marks from handling, as well as a moderate dragline. Grips are near new with sharp checkering. Trigger and hammer with approx. 95% case colors remaining. Action and bore are excellent. Two-piece box with clear tape at mid-point long edge of lid and bottom of lower piece. Est.: $600-$800.
