Lot of Five (5) GAR Encampment ''Representative'' Badges: (1) 1908 dated, Toledo, Ohio 42nd National Encampment badge, consisting of suspension bar with three drops and yellow ribbon. Drops depict representative badge, maritime scene, and main drop of unknown military soldier, and marked on backside ''Bastian Bros. Co., Rochester, N.Y.'' (2) 1910 dated, Atlantic City, New Jersey National Encampment badge, with suspension bar, three drops and yellow ribbon. Drops depict representative badge, lighthouse, and main drop depicts Philip Kearny; edge is marked ''Davison, Phila.'', and 47.1214 electro-penciled to the backside. (3) 1941 dated, Columbus, Ohio 75th Annual Encampment badge, with suspension bar, two drops and yellow ribbon. Drops consist of representative badge, and William W. Nixon, Commander in Chief medal. The back of both drops is marked ''Medal Arts Co., Roch., N.Y.'' (4) 1943 dated, Milwaukee, Wis. 77th National Encampment badge, with suspension bar, yellow ribbon and John S. Dumser, Commander in Chief medal. Back is marked ''Medal Arts Co., Roch., N.Y.'' (5) 1937 dated, Madison, Wis. 71st National Encampment badge, with suspension bar and three drops consisting of GAR representative badge, Old Abe badge, and C.H. William Ruhe, Commander in Chief medal. Conditions range from fine to near excellent. Medal surfaces with light to moderate toning and some darkening. The 1910 dated badge with some fading and minor discoloration to ribbon. All ribbons are free of any major fraying or damage. Highly detailed in construction. Est.: $400-$600/lot.
