(1934-1939) In 1934, at the height of the great depression, legendary marketer Herman “Kay” Kamen negotiated an unheard of 1 ½ million dollar deal with General Foods. The agreement gave the cereal producer the right to reproduce Disney characters on boxes of Post Toasties. Contained in this lot are several Post Toasties uncut cereal box backs with cutouts featuring Mickey Mouse from his theatrical shorts of the period.
