Born in Sweden, Kent Ullberg became a resident of Corpus Christi, Texas from where he became one of the more recognized American wildlife sculptors in the late 20th century. In 1998, he won the top award at the Prix de West show in Oklahoma City for his bronze Ocean's Cradle. The book "Monuments To Nature", is a richly illustrated biography of Kent Ullberg, Swedish-born sculptor whose public monuments have come to symbolize an age of environmental awareness. With 184 illustrations, including many full-page color photographs of his magnificent works, it tells of his odyssey from boyhood in the seaport of Gothenburg to international acclaim.
