This lot provides you with an early embossed tin John Deere Quality vendor sign, used by Stith Hardware CO. of Terry, Montana. The sign shows traditional John Deere yellow, with remnants of black font still showing through. The sign reads from top to bottom; "John Deere Quality - Farm Implements - Sold By - Stith Hardware Co. - Terry. MONT.". The bottom right hand corner reads "American Art Works, INC. Coshocton, O". The sign shows the outline of the three legged John Deere logo, used between 1912-1936. The sign is in fair condition, it shows heavy patina, and fading to the black font. The sign measures 23 1/2" wide, and 12" tall.
