Japanese Royal Satsuma Palace style urn with lid. Best quality and circa mid to late 19th century from Edo period. This urn shows finely detailed scenes of ancients and immortals around the body and lid. The upperportion of the main body is encircled by dragons. Many writings in Japanese conji near dragons. The condition is fine with minimal aging and no detectable damage. An important and capital Japanese artwork last sold byLittle John’s in the early 90’s to an iconic southern California collector and now from his estate.
