Interesting Remington Rolling Block custom pistol with wire frame shoulder stock, .32 caliber rimfire, blue and case hardened finish, wood stocks, forend period stamped in fancy script letters “W. L. Dodge”, who wasa factory employee. The pistol shows a finely made target type rear sight which is 6-1/4” in length and a folding type breech front sight. The pistol shows a octagon barrel of medium to heavy weight and retains 95%original blue. 75-85% original case hardening on the action. Grips show 50-60% varnish with some even edgewear and small losses. The stock is numbered to match and fits into a groove which is milled into a plate which isaffixed by four screws to the butt. The forend shows some scratches, mars, some even loss of finish. The nickel plated butt and buttstock show 75% nickel over brass. The action is good, bore is very good plus. Theaction and pistol shows no markings and could possibly have been an experimental or personal project accomplished by Dodge who was well known in shooting circles. From Jerry Landskron collection.
