Offered for sale is a Native American Indian Reservation Stevens Model 35 .22 LR with Beaded Holster. The pistol features a 8" barrel, walnut grips, external hammer, break action, doe skin and glass trade bead holster. The Stevens Model 35 was only made from 1907-1916 and was a popular informal target pistol as well as small-game hunting gun. Obviously, this well used example was used for hunting. The rear sight is a frontier/Indian replacement that is matched with the original Stevens blade/bead front sight. Overall metal is an aged patina with original blue in the protected areas of the frame. Most Stevens markings visible on the barrel side except where partially covered by the rear sight which was lead-soldered to the 8” barrel. Original walnut grips show wear and handling but are solid, well-fitting and retain the original metal grip cap at the bottom. Fine mechanics with light trigger pull and bore that still shows rifling. The sheath that has always been with this pistol is in used but remarkably fine condition. It is made from cloth lined doe skin that appears to have been traditionally brain-tanned. The early 20th century style beading depicts colorful flowers in green and purple with orange accents along with a white with double gold wing dragon fly. Nearly all beads are intact and the sheath/holster shows no tears or holes. This pistol was manufactured from 1907-1916. Curio & Relic firearm. FFL transfer or NICS background check required. The serial number is 52523
