<td width="100%">
We wish to offer a very interesting Imperial Russian Cigarette case made by Ivan Saltykov in 1894.
It is made in the Pan Slavic design that was introduced in the latter 19th century with intricate workmanship showing ancient Russian designs.
The maker, Saltykov was quite noted and was regularly commissioned to work for Fabergé. The Salttykov firm closed in 1898.
This case is quite large, measuring some 4 1/4 inches long and is almost 3 inches wide.The elastics have long since disappeared.It will easily hold modern cigarettes.
This cigarette case was used and there is some wear to the neillo. Theere are also a few minor intendations to the surface. I am certain that a competent silversmith can easily repair these at a minimal cost.
