"The newest, simplest and most accurate method of measuring water. An Instrument for Engineer and Irrigator." Manufactured by the Weir Gage Manufacturing Company, 49 West Park Street, Butte, Montana. The purpose of the apparatus is to measure the volume of flowing water. It was originally marketed toward land owners and irrigation engineers. The instrument comes in the original wooden box and includes an original pamphlet that would have been mailed by the company to a prospective buyer. It is in very good condition. The tubing has become stiff but the piece appears to have never been used. (Notice the spelling of the word gauge.) Box is 4 x 22.5 x 2.5". City: Butte State: Montana Date: c1910 HWAC# 49710
