Herbert Hoover: Signed Edition of America's First Crusade. (New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1942), first edition, second printing, 81 pages, light blue cloth with navy blue lettering on the spine and front board, 8vo (5.5" x 8.25"), no dust jacket. Inscribed and signed "To James Evans Mack With the Good Wishes of Herbert Hoover" on the front free endpaper. Here, Hoover writes of America's involvement in the First World War, and of his philanthropic relief efforts in war-torn Europe. The book is in very good condition with moderate shelf wear, and two very minor stains on the front board. The binding is tight and the textblock only slightly toned in this fascinating inside peek at America and World War I.Shipping: Books & Catalogs (view shipping information)
