Hi-Art pair of exhibition quality percussion dueling pistols with royal provenance signed Lebeda A Prague. This pair are among the finest sets that exist today with a long provenance. The pistols measure 17-1/2”overall with 10” barrels signed and inlaid in silver I. Andreas Kuchenreuter. Kuchenreuter was considered one of Europe’s top barrel maker’s and also crafted arms for the European Royal Houses. The pair are .52caliber smooth bore. They are half stocked in ebony with fine checkered grips showing silver pins. The locks are finely chiseled and engraved with scene of cherub holding target struck with arrow on #1 and manholding bow reclining on #2. The locks are finely scroll border engraved with gold accents and chiseled hammers with floral accents on drum. The tangs are finely worked and inlaid also. The forend cap, butt andside plate show the finest high relief chiseling imaginable. The butt shows a portrait of Zuess and the forend is Baccus surrounded by Grapes. The side plate shows Czech Lion on shield, date of 1857 and Prague
