The movie "Hellboy", based on the cult comic classic, became a beloved instant cult classic on its own when it was released in 2004. And most of that success is due to the amazing charismatic presence of the title star: Ron Perlman, and the astonishing recreation of his iconic face and body makeup supervised by legendary Rick Baker. This is one of the screen used foam-latex frontal face pieces worn by Perlman. It is displayed on his full size life-head, used by the special effects make-up department to hold the various sections of his complex face and head appliances. It is full-face from the eyebrow ridge, around the jaw line and completes under the chin. The appliance shows some signs of wear from its use in the production. (Face Prosthetic is approx. 7"x10", the life-head is approx. 15"x15"x11"). Being the on-set production special makeup display head, it too shows signs of production wear (including outlines of where his iconic "cut-off" horns are to be attached).
