Harry Potter Sword
From the first installment of the blockbuster Harry Potter series 'Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone' (2001), this is one of the screen used large size prop swords from the scene where Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint) plays a game of Wizard's chess.

There was one camera shot with real swords and the rest were CGI. This is the camera shot when the kids' way is blocked by the crossed swords. This sword is the sword being held by the hand on the right, in the crossed swords camera shot. The sword is made from a flexible resin and painted with a gold and powder blue coating to imply oxidation. (measures approx. 44 1/2" long) Oversized item. Additional Postage Required.

Comes with a letter of provenance stating the item is part of a single owner collection of Harry Potter props and memorabilia since 2003. Acquired from a movie prop dealer who obtained this item from an employee of Leavesden Studio or an acquaintance of that employee. Most Sorcerer' Stone props were discarded by the studio. Knowing their value, employees and others recovered the disposed of props. Since the props were disposed of and subsequently retrieved, almost no movie props from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone have a Certificate of Authenticity besides the few items donated to charities.
