<B>MODEL 1881 OFFICERS GRADE INFANTRY HELMET</B></I> - Extra quality throughout with gold plated metal components. Deluxe eagle plate with appliqué crossed rifles surmounted with a shield is affixed to the front of the helmet. A large silver “1” is attached to the center of shield. All components are as prescribed for the model 1881 and are original to the helmet. The beige helmet lining is either a silk or satin material. Inside and on the crown of the helmet embossed in gold on leather “HENRY V. ALLIEN & CO. NEW YORK”. Gold helmet cord is of the highest quality. Original officer grade chinstrap, crown plate and spike are intact. Helmet enclosed in black japanned carrying case.<BR><BR><B>Condition:</B></I> 100% original and authentic. Minimal wear overall. Some of the string attaching the metal chinstrap linkage to the leather backing is broken. No chest cords present. Metal case very good with normal handling wear.
