H&R “Self Loading” .25 caliber semi-automatic pistol on Webley patent, blue finish, hard-rubber grips, inscribed in period script on top of barrel, “My Darling Pauline from Bill”, serial #2395. Pauline was PaulineTabor, who ran a famous house of Ill-repute in Bowling Green, KY. A well-written account of her 40 plus year career was published in 1971 entitled Pauline’s. Bill is mentioned on page 222 as being one of Pauline’s mostloyal friends and an important businessman in Bowling Green. With de-luxe velvet bound edition of her book entitled "Paulines". The pistol retains 85-95% of its original blue, some slight pitting and erosion. The gripsshow a couple of chips at the rear, the markings are good, interior is good, an original nickel plated magazine is retained. This pistol was obtained by a gun dealer from Pauline’s estate more than 30 years ago.Est: $750 - $1,500
