Offered for sale is a Gentlemen's Large .62 Cal Percussion Cane Gun. The cane gun features a 25" barrel, .62 bore, blue'd finish, and cane handle. The barrel unscrews for loading and cleaning, percussion nipple is in the handle mechanism and holds a percussion cap in a cutaway part of the cane. To fire the cane a small screw/knob is pulled under spring tension to the rear and turned into a safety notch. To fire the screw/knob is pushed to the short firing runway with the thumb where the spring tension drives it into the cap and thus firing the cane. Bore measures a huge .62 caliber and was probably loaded with “buck and ball” loads consisting of any combination of a single round ball with smaller shot or several medium size lead balls. Shows beautiful condition overall with about all the deep blue remaining on the barrel and mechanism, classic curved cane handle is excellent as is the mechanism. 35” overall length. This is a black powder firearm. NO FFL transfer or NICS background check required. The consigner who owned this unusual item said it was brought back from England by a relative sometime in the 1940s.
