This is an original G.C (Gerry) Wentworth wax bust titled "Ramuda Boss". Gerry Wentworth was a Great Falls, Montana artist who grew up in the era just after Charles Russell's life. He was largely self taught and spent the majority of his life working in painting, sculpture and wood carving. Wentworth's works have been widely exhibited in such places as the C.M. Russell Show, the Phippen Art Show and the Frank Tenney Johnson Show. In 1981, he won Best of Show at the Northwest Americana Art Show. This piece is a wonderful depiction of the cowboy frontiersman shown in fine detail. This is a truly unique, one of a kind piece that has never been cast in bronze. It shows very good condition. The bust measures 4" x 4.25" and is 8.5" tall. The wax bust comes with an authentication of the piece that gives right to the purchaser to have the piece cast. Also included is a printed biography of the artist.
