Factory presentation gold inlaid Marlin model 90 over/under shotgun, 20ga, special factory engraved in western scenes, gold inlaid with Tom Mix signature on right, AAA deluxe checkered wood stocks, given to legendarywestern star Tom Mix by Marlin in appreciation for the factory’s safe gun handling program directed toward the youth of America, and promotion of the model 100S Tom Mix special .22 caliber rifle with allfeatures confirmed by factory letter. The gun shows 26” barrels, stock measures 14” to the end of the wood, 14-3/4” to the end of the pad, choked “Cylinder” or “Open” , in fine to excellent condition showing 97-99% originalblue finish just starting to age and tone slightly. The gun shows top grade figured walnut, fancy checkered with fleur de lis patterns, which is excellent, just some minor handling, slight scratches, beginning age.The gun shows a period ‘red head’ recoil pad.
