Extremely Rare Cased Class A Factory Engraved Smith & Wesson 125th Anniversary Commemorative .45 cal
Made in 1978 as #46 of a 50-revolver Class A engraved limited edition, the included factory letter confirms the configuration and gives a shipping date of 13 July to Dave's House of Guns in Dallas, Texas. Fixed orange insert blade front and adjustable white outline rear sights, with "SMITH & WESSON / 125th ANNIVERSARY" on the right side of the barrel, caliber marking on the left and Smith & Wesson logo on the right side of the frame with banners and laurels, all with gold fill. Engraving coverage is over 80%, chiefly scroll engraving with punch dot backgrounds. Casehardened checkered hammer and serrated trigger, with a smooth pair of ivory grips with S&W medallions. Included with the revolver are the matching numbered box, a copy of the book "125 YEARS WITH SMITH & WESSON" by Roy Jinks, commemorative medallion, hardwood case and shipping box. Dave's House of Guns was owned by David Goldstein, who supplied an affidavit for the Warren Commission regarding Lee Harvey Oswald's 38 Smith & Wesson revolver.
