Serial Number: 569643B
Condition: Excellent. The musket retains 98% plus of the original blue finish, with a dried oil residue covering all of the metal surfaces. The lever, hammer and buttplate retain almost all of the original case colors, dulling on the buttplate, brighter on the lever and hammer, with the same residue present. The wood is also excellent with exception of numerous small pressure dents on the stock and overall some scattered minor dings, dents and scratches. The markings are clear and crisp. The action is excellent. With just a little cleaning this would be an exceptional Model 1873 Musket.
