This is an example of a first style Henry Deringer percussion pistol. The floral border engraved lock plate is marked "DERINGER/PHILADA". A floral engraving is also present on the rear of the lock plate, fish sculpted hammer, trigger guard, and barrel tang. The stock has a checkered grip and a silver initial oval. The mountings are iron. With a brass tipped wooden ramrod.

Condition: Fair. The pistol has an overall smooth dark patina with flash pitting. The stock is fair with a "plastic wood" filled repair ahead of the lock plate, crude epoxy forend tip and some scattered minor handling marks. Mechanically good.
