EVE-80 PAIR OF MIQUELET PISTOLSSuperb pair of ornately silver mounted miquelet pistols in Spanish Ripol style circa late 18th to early 19th century. Measures 13” overall with a 8” barrel of approximately 60” smoothbore. The silver inlay is veryfine and ornate with animals, florals, birds and far more silver than generally found even on most ornate examples. The locks are finely made of diminutive size with fine engraving. A research folder which isextensive is included which in summary says the tiny silver hallmarks are indecipherable but Eric concluded that they were Mexican or Spanish colonial It could be argued either way with no conclusive proof.
