Desirable Winchester Model ‘94 lever action carbine, .30 W.C.F. cal., 20” barrel, blue finish, wood stocks, #1294905, formerly in the famous Charlie Schreiner collection, with original documentation on Texas Rangerletterhead dated March 19, 1974, indicating this gun was carried by Texas Ranger Zeno Smith during his years of service with that world-wide known law enforcement agency. The carbine remains in fair to good conditionwith all features as standard for this model; light to heavy scattered surface pitting with some very deep erosion and rusting from exposure to the elements and use; fine bore, crisp action, very good markings; stocks arewell-worn with weathering, dings, mars and losses; front sight has been changed to a large blade at time of use. Zeno Smith began his service with the Texas Rangers in 1935 and served the people of Texas for over 25years. He was assigned to Co. D in Alice, Texas during the 1940’s and was a legend in San Antonio where he served for a large portion of his career and was involved in many high profile cases including the pursuit
