The "Core Four" are the former New York Yankees baseball players Derek Jeter, Andy Pettitte, Jorge Posada, and Mariano Rivera. All four players were drafted or originally signed as amateurs by the Yankees in the early 1990s. They played together in the minor leagues, and made their Yankee major league debuts in 1995. Each of them was a key contributor to the Yankees' late-1990s dynasty that won four World Series championships in five years. By 2007, they were the only remaining Yankees from the franchise's dynasty of the previous decade. All four players were on the Yankees' active roster in 2009 when the team won the 2009 World Series—its fifth championship in the previous 14 years.
Three members of the Core Four—Jeter, Rivera and Posada—played together for 17 consecutive years (1995–2011), longer than any other similar group in North American professional sports. Pettitte had a sojourn away from the team when he played for the Houston Astros for three seasons, before returning to the Yankees in 2007. He retired after the 2010 season, reducing the group to the so-called Key Three. Posada followed suit after 2011, ending his 17-year career with the Yankees. Pettitte came out of retirement prior to the 2012 season and played for two more years. Both Pettitte and Rivera retired after the 2013 season, and Jeter retired after the 2014 season.

A bid being placed on an auction item is an agreement to the auction terms and conditions as explained below. Pristine Auction is a JCK Enterprises L.L.C. company.
Bidder Registration: All bidder's must be 18 years of age or older to participate in the auction. Pristine auction reserves the right to suspend a registered user and/or cancel the bid of a registered user for any reason.
Bidding: Minimum bid increment is 5% of the current high bid. Bids are accepted 24 hours a day directly through our website (www.pristineauction.com). Our site will automatically generate and send an e-mail when a bidder is outbid on an auction. This is provided as a courtesy service to our bidders and is a non-guarantee service. Although rare, it is possible for our site to encounter interruptions in service or malfunctions. We reserve the right to suspend, cancel, or extend auctions that have been affected by such an occurrence. At the end of each auction, winning bidders will be notified as soon as possible via e-mail. In order to ensure delivery of all of our e-mails, please add sales@pristineauction.com to your address book.
Extended Bidding: Our auction timer corresponds with Eastern Standard Time. All auctions are set up with a 10 minute extended bidding period. The extended bidding period is initiated once an auction countdown is below 10 minutes. During the extended bidding period, all new bids reset the auction countdown to 10 minutes. An auction ends when no new bids are entered for a full 10 minutes. Each auction is on an independent timer so auctions will end at different times.
Returns: All items are shown and described to the best of our ability. Please ask any necessary questions before placing a bid. Items authenticated by an industry recognized third party authenticator may not be returned. Items accompanied by a Pristine Auction LOA can be returned for authenticity purposes if they have been reviewed and rejected by an acceptable authenticator. Acceptable authenticators are as follows: PSA/DNA, JSA, Global Authentics, or PAAS. All auction sales are final except in very limited circumstances (as described above or if a lot is grossly misrepresented). If winning bidder believes a lot was misrepresented he/she must contact us within 7 days of receipt of the lot with written explanation of the alleged gross error. If it is deemed that a gross error has occurred, it is the Buyer's responsibility to return the lot in question within seven (7) days of notice or evaluation.
Reserve: We reserve the right to place a reserve on auctions. Reserves are determined before the start of an auction. If bidding does not meet or exceed the predetermined reserve price, the lot will be returned to the consignor or relisted into a future auction.
Auction Cancellation: We reserve the right to cancel an auction at any time for any reason.
Disputes: If any disputes arise, legal action will go before the AAA (American Arbitration Association) and will take place in Arizona. By bidding on the auction (and thus agreeing to our auction policies) the right to trial by jury in any and all legal disputes is forfeited.
