For auction in this lot is a Crow Native American Indian tanned leather hide men's scout or ceremonial outfit from circa 1950's. The outfit consists of pants, chaps, and a vest. Each piece shows bright white color, and features wonderful floral motifs, composed of various trade seed beads, including; light green, semi-transparent green, red, crimson, corn yellow, and semi-transparent light blue. The vest uses two bead-lined waist pockets, and the chaps utilize multiple tanned hide fringe tie-offs. The outfit originates from the early to mid portion of the 20th century, and show good condition. The outfit appears close to a men's size medium. The pants measure 16" wide at the waist, 41 1/4" long from waist to ankle, and a 29" inseam. The vest measures 23" wide across the chest - underneath each armpit, and 22 1/2" long from the neck line, to the waist.
