This is a Colt U.S. Army Model 1917 double action revolver in .45 caliber with "U.S." marked leather holster. The revolver features a matte blued finish throughout the barrel, frame, cylinder, hammer and trigger. The grips are made from solid walnut hardwood. The barrel is marked "Colt D.A. .45" and "Colt's Pt. F.A. Mfg. Co. Hartford, Conn. U.S.A.". The butt of the grip is marked "U.S. Army Model 1917. The holster is marked "US" on the flap and is stamped on the back "C.H.T.". The Colt Model 1917 Army revolver is in good condition. It measures 10.5" overall with a 5.5" barrel. Serial number on the butt is 94001 and the serial number on the frame is 241584. The revolver was manufactured in 1918 and requires a Curio & Relic FFL, FFL or NICS background check for transfer.
