Colt Government Model Series 70 Mark IV .45 ACP cal;. semi-automatic pistol, factory nickel plated with Texas battleship custom motifs, serial #66106G70, with factory letter stating shipment to Greg Martin Auctions San Francisco, CA, October 16, 2008; under remarks letter states this was a sample custom edition kept by the factory and wood grain box supplied with this Colt with identifying end label for order #10855. Thepistol remains in excellent condition showing just some slight storage and handling, 99% to new, the left side of the slide shows ornamentation with battleship, Texas flag; the right side shows engagement dates, navalanchors, etc. We have no information on this edition in reference works and it is likely the edition was never completed as this is the only specimen we have seen. We are open Tuesday thru Friday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Little John's will be closed the Friday after the auction. Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
