Colt Bisley .38-40 SN: 282418
'First Generation' Single action six-shot revolver chambered in .38 Winchester Center Fire, circa 1906. Features a blued & case hardened finish, 4 3/4" barrel with two line address, ejector rod, shortened blade front sight, modified square notched rear sight, wide low-profile hammer spur, smooth trigger, fluted cylinder, and humped-back grip frame with custom two-piece textured wood grips with inlayed diamond brass escutcheons. Markings are crisp with the exception of the serial numbers which look to have been lined though but all appear to be matching. Revolver exhibits approximately 15% of it's original finish with the majority of the metal surfaces turned to a grey/brown patina. The grip straps are in the white with a small spot of dark rust on the center of the backstrap. The right side of the frame is marked with a series of illegible initials or short sets of letters that all appears to begin with the letter E. The channel cut on the top strap has been widened out on the rear end to a square window and the hammer has been notched in the same manor for sighting when the hammer is decocked. Action is strong with four clicks, bore is good with some scattered pin prick pitting and custom wood grips are good showing a repair to the left panel along the toe. Condition is good+. ***C&R Firearm*** ***Modern Firearm***
