Colt 1861 Navy revolver, .36 caliber percussion, brown patina finish, wood grips serial #1063. Factory letter confirms features and shipped to “L. J. Sleath”, Troop M. General Co. Providence RI, September 1st, 1861, 100 guns in shipment. The pistol shows good metal surfaces with faint hints of original finish mixed in the patina. The barrel address is sharp, cylinder retains 50-60% cylinder scene going light. Grips aregood with small losses at the toes, scratches, normal aging, but at least very good. There are some nicks around the edges of the wedge and on the wedge, but nothing serious. The action is crisp, interior isgood. All matching visible serial numbers.
