This original Document is from Newport, Rhode Island, measuring 4" x 6.25" and is dated "Newport, October 23 1751". It reads, in full: "Received of Thomas Richard on one small box marked TR containing Colony's Interest Bonds with Promise to carry in the Sloop & delivered it to George Brown Esq. or his order, at Providence - the dangers of the Seas excepted, Two of these receipts being signed one to be Fulfill’d Inside & Contents unknown. - (Signed) Daniel Tillinghast". Tone along the right quarter portion side of this receipt, the bottom edge is irregular, otherwise in good condition.
