A) English Double Barrel Percussion Damascus Shotgun. The fish sculpted hammer, upper tang, hammer safeties, lock plates, trigger guard, buttplate tang, and patch box are scroll engraved with the lock plates marked "JOSEPH LANG" in an arch. The solid barrel rib has a single bead front sight and a faint J. Blanch & Sons London address with Damascus barrels. Checkered half stock with flat buttplate and wooden ramrod. Silver clean out plug present on the bolsters. LOP 14 1/4".

Condition: Very good. The barrels retain 40% of the original Damascus pattern brown with a smooth brown patina. The remaining metal surfaces have a smooth dark patina. There is some minor spotting overall. The engraving remains clear. The wood is good with some minor dings and scratches with a few very small chips missing from the forearm and a hairline crack near the upper tang. Overall the checkering is crisp.

B) The approximately 8 gauge Damascus barrel has a single bead sight with the scroll engraved breech plug marked "LONDON". The lock plate and upper tang are also scrolled engraved with "T. WILKES" marked on the lock. Half stock with checkered wrist, single barrel wedge, and horn forend cap. Complete with a brass tipped wooden ramrod. LOP 14".

Condition: Very good. The barrel retains a fine visible of the Damascus pattern with a smooth brown patina overall. The lock plate and trigger guard have a smooth gray patina with a dark patina on the hammer and buttplate. There is extensive oxidation on the buttplate. The trigger guard has been cleaned and has some minor pitting. The refinished stock is good with some scattered minor handing marks, a couple chips missing near the lower tang and a few hairline cracks, with crude re-cut checkering. The forearm has a wood repair (left side), a repaired chip (underside), and a missing chip (right side). The forend cap is loose. Mechanically fine.
