(Paramount, 1920) (7) Gelatin silver prints, 8 x 10” (made as contact prints at the time from 8 x 10” negatives) representing John Barrymore as both Jekyll and Hyde. This critical early filming of the story by Robert Louis Stevenson is considered by horror scholars as the first truly important and characteristic American horror film. Condition ranges from marginal to reasonably intact, with creasing and chipping in varying degrees throughout, however original release material for this significant film is virtually non-existent.
