Chinese silver sycee, 'boat' money (yuan bao); with mint stamp "Xin Tai", "Ji Xiang Yin Lu" mark on top; sycee currently are very scarce compared to numismatic coins; handmade where no two sycee are identical; this particular sycee was a standard sycee currency circulated in Shandong Province in Qing Dynasty where other northern provinces such as Chili (Hubei) and Honan also adopted both the shape and the weight; sycee measuring 10 taels equivalent to anywhere between 250 grams to 350 grams which is smaller than its larger 50 taels sycee; H: 5 cm, L: 7.1 cm, W: 4 cm, 284 grams
