Cased Browning Superposed Pointer grade with Purbaugh tube set, 12 gauge, 2-3/4” shell, 28” ventilated rib barrels, blue finish, engraved steel frame signed by Legiers (made in 1961), deluxe checkered wood stocks, #88221. This gun is in overall excellent condition showing approx. 99% original blue finish on barrels, beautiful engraving on the receiver including four game scenes, two with dog and game bird on each side of the receiver, one game bird scene on bottom of frame and a game bird scene on the bottom of the trigger guard; the 12 gauge bores are in very good to excellent condition, the tube sets include 20 gauge, 28 gauge and 410 gauge inserts, all in very good condition and should clean to excellent condition; actions are crisp. The deluxe wood stocks are in fine condition showing little handling; the distance from the front of the trigger to the end of the wood on the butt is 13-1/8” and 14-1/4” to the end of the Browning hard rubber butt pad. The case is in overall very good condition with cleaning supplies and extractors for alternate gauge tubes. A really rare model and nice quality shotgun set. Est.: $3,000-$6,000.
