Cambridge Mining Company stock certificate book and xerox photos of the mine. Certs 1 thru 46 were issued, the remaining 60 or so are not issued. The company had a min located south of Yerington, in an area that has no defined mining district, either in Tingley or in Lincoln. i (FH) worked on this mine briefly in the 1980's. The mine is an underground gold/silver mine with two levels of drifts driven from a central incline shaft. There was production, but the amount is not known. Since the mine is not in an organized district, it is also not reported in Couch & Carpenter. Cert #1 is issued to E.L. Smith, signed by Ira B. Putnam as VP (from California), and A.C. Denison as secretary in July, 1935. We sold quite a bit of the mining equipment from the Cambridge in our last sale, and have four underground drills left over (artifacts-please call). Cert #2 is issued to A. M. Wishart, and #3 to Putnam. #4 was issued to W.H. Hoag, #5 to Denison. It must be assumed these five are the founders of the mining company - all issued 100 share certificates on July 10, 1935. About 30 of the issued certificates are present. The lot comes with four mineralized quartz specimens from the mine. City: Yerington State: Nevada Date: HWAC# 53318
