Oil on canvas painting, entitled "Malinovka" (At the fields) and dated 1970 with dimensions in Cyrillic, verso. Signed by Bulgakov Fedor Sergeeich (Russian, 1902-1991) on the lower right corner. 63.3 x 68.8 cm (24.9 x 27.1 in). Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. Bulgakov F.S. was born in 1902 in Koreiz, Crimea, he passed away in 1991 in Moscow. He was the eldest son of the Russian philosopher S.N. Bulgakov (the father Sergiy). He lived in Yalta, Crimea. After emigration of parents in 1923 he moved to Moscow. He studied at the drawing studio of Kardovsky D.N. (1923-1924), VKHUTEIN (1925-1930) from Mashkov I.I., Nesterov M.V., Korin P.D. In 1931 he was convicted and deported to Alma-Ata. He was set free in 1933. He was married to the daughter of M.V. Nesterov - Natalya Mikhailovna. In 1966 he visited Paris. A painter. He painted landscapes, cityscapes, portraits, still-lifes, genre and subject paintings. PROVENANCE: Presented by the artist's daughter to a private collector. Acquired from the above by the current owner. Private Russian collection.
