Sitting, contemplating, the Roman Emperor in full armor is waiting for the right time to strike. He wears his helmet which has a serpent on the top and the mouth of a lion trimming the helmet. His armor is covered by his royal cape and his shield rests anxiously against the pedestal he sits on. He has a serious look on his face as he debates on whether to go to war or not. His armor has exquisite detail which lets us know that he comes from royalty. A branch grows out from the base of the pedestal and hides the shield. This sculpture is sure to bring a touch of class to any room. This sculpture was cast using the Lost Wax Method" and has a brown patina. It is mounted on a beveled marble base and is signed by the artist Gregoire. He was a French artist and Jean Louis Gregoire lived from 1840 and passed away 1890. Condition: This sculpture is in a very good condition.
