Beautiful gilt-filled old style etched lettering, gilt only 20% present. Twisted flutes up the body, twisting into a tighter pattern of the neck. There is no doubt whatsoever that this is the Belmont Bar in Tonopah. This bottle was discovered in an old Reno family collection after looking at the Nevada bottle book V1 and seeing a photo of the Belmont Backbar bottle in that book. The two bottles are absolutely made by the same manufacturer and have the unique twist pattern in the glass. The writing style on this particular bottle is more antiquated then the writing style on the one illustrated in the bottle book (which has the initials of the proprietors.) It might be argued that this bottle was purchased and made at an earlier date by an earlier proprietor for use in Tonopah. This bottle has never been in the ground, has some residue of liquid on the inside, and is a must for any Nevada collector. State: Nevada City: Date: ID# 46407
