This set of two original Batman "Dark Detective" comic book scripts are dated 7/20/04 and were used by legendary Batman artist Marshal Rogers during production of the comic books. The 76 page combined scripts feature countless hand drawn sketches and notes by Marshal Rogers as he worked on the project. These scripts offer a unique look into the production of the Dark Detective and Marshal Rogers' process. Minor wear consistent with use is present.

Now that team is back with BATMAN: DARK DETECTIVE." The team of Steve Englehart and Marshall Rogers had a profound influence on the creation of the 1989 Tim Burton film "Batman". Steve Englehart actually wrote at least two film treatments for Warner Brothers in 1986. Producer Michael Uslan has stated that he looked at the Englehart and Rogers original series for inspiration for the filmmakers. These original scripts have original Rogers' sketches, layout ideas, font ideas and the like. This project was the last published project Rogers worked on before passing in 2005.
