SN: C1526 British military magazine fed bolt action service rifle chambered in .303 British. Manufactured circa 1903. Features a blued finish, 30.2" barrel, ramped blade front sight, graduated to 1800 yds, volley sights, metal forend cap with bayonet lug, serrated trigger, detachable magazine, magazine cut off on the right side of the receiver, dust cover and manual safety on the bolt, dark leather sling, smooth wood hand guard, forend, straight grip shoulder stock with brass disc and brass trapdoor buttplate. The right side of the butt socket is marked '[crown]/E.R./B.S.A. Co./1903 and L.E/I*'. The receiver is marked with the Union of South Africa proof and the brass disc is marked '9.21./6.A./234.'. The bolt is missing a screw from the rear of the cocking piece and the buttstock shows a 1" extension. Rifle displays approximately 40% of its blued finish mixed with aged patina. Action is smooth, bore is dark with good rifling and the wood stocks are good showing blemishes and cracks in the hand guard. Condition is NRA Good ***C&R Firearm*** From The John F Sukey Collection
