This is an original Ask Swami Fortune Teller chrome napkin holder from the 1920-1940's diner. The piece was made by Shipman Manufacturing Co. 1326 S. Lorena - Los Angeles. This is in original good condition. The piece is a mechanical coin operated vending machine that shows a glass window in the front with the original "Aski Swami Any Question That Can Be Answered 'Yes' or 'No'." The piece works by entering a 1 cent penny and pulling the red handled lever, then a fortune card will be dispensed. The dispenser includes the original key, and hundreds of cards. The rare and early piece shows very good mechanical condition, and good overall cosmetic condition. Measures 8 5/8"H x 7.25"W x 6"D (including front lever).
