Oil on canvas painting, featuring still life of two chairs standing astride each other with three croissants. Signed and attr. Arthur Aeschbacher (Swiss, b. 1923) on top left corner. 28.37 x 23.24 inches (72 x 59 cm). He studied in Paris at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière and at the Académie Julian, as a pupil of Fernand Léger. He worked primarily as a poster artist (French: affichiste) with torn posters, composed of various pictorial elements. He later worked in typography.
