This pressback oak(?) rocking chair features the following:

* Wide flat pressback crestrail with rounded corners.

* Pressback decorated in what appears to be a leaf (perhaps oak leaf) motif.

* Arrow slats between simple round stiles that bend gently at seat.

* Turned front legs joined by 2 plain stretchers.

* Single plain round stretchers on all sides other than front.

* Cane seat in good condition (photo available upon request)

This rocker is described a few different ways: as a sewing rocker, a quilting rocker, a ladies rocker, a nursing rocker, or a bedroom rocker. But I think this rocker would make a wonderful addition to any home.

Dimensions:

Seat from floor at its natural resting point on rockers: 16"

Total height: 34"

Width (at widest part of seat):17.5"

Width (at narrowest part of seat at back): 15.5".

Seat depth: 17.5"

Depth from tip to tip of rocker (bent thing the chair rests upon and rocks with): 30.25".

Condition:This rocker is in overall excellent condition. The cane seat is probably not original, but is in excellent strong and usable condition.
