This is a wonderful delicate (visually) yet sturdy (functionally) rocking chair.

This pressback oak rocking chair features the following:

* Turned stiles in ball and ring pattern with bent brackets as reinforcement of the stiles.

* Turned spindles in a stacked ring pattern.

* Scalloped top rail decorated in a scroll leaf motif as the pressback pattern.

* Paired stretchers on all sides (wood pieces holding one leg to the next leg) with the front pair turned in a varied ball and ring pattern.

* Cane seat in good condition (photo available upon request)

This rocker is described a few different ways: as a sewing rocker, a ladies rocker, a nursing rocker, or a bedroom rocker. But I think this rocker would make a wonderful addition to any home.

Dimensions: seat from floor: 13.5"; height incl. finials: 37.5"; wide (at widest part of seat):17.5"; depth from tip to tip of rocker (bent thing the chair rests upon and rocks with): 31".

There is one repair at the back and top of the spindle that would be at your right shoulder if you were sitting on the chair. This repair does not affect the beauty or functionality of this chair. It is in overall excellent condition.

Please email with any questions.
